The first year of the U(R)TOPIAS Academy of Choreography started in December 2021 with 13 participants. It included seven weekend workshops (one every month) and three intensive sessions, with guest mentors from Greece and abroad. At the same time, the participating choreographers developed a work-in-progress in dialogue with the city of Elefsina and its people, which they presented to the public in the form of Open Sharing. Also, Dance MyS+eries/Season 1 took place, where the artists of the program showcased their works in progress to the Aerowaves network partners. A small-scale experiential walking performance in a special evening inspired by Elefsina and the Eleusinian Mysteries.
