Martha Kotsia
Martha Kotsia was born in 1996 in Malmö, Sweden and grew up in Athens, Greece where she still lives.
She expresses through choreography, performance and video. Her studies, architecture at the National Technical University of Athens are manifested in her works through her spatial-centred view. As a performer, she has participated in dance and theatre performances. She attended the Dansecentrumjette contemporary dance training program in Brussels and met in workshops companies such as Rosas, Ultima Vez, Batsheva, Peeping Tom, Eastman - Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, ZOO Dance Company - Thomas Hauert and dancers such as David Zambrano, Linda Kapetanea & Jozef Frucek, Judith Sanchez-Ruiz, Edivaldo Ernesto, Peter Jasko, Anton Lachky, Chen-Wei Lee and more. She has given improvisation classes, has attended theatrical lighting seminars and scenography classes and has worked as an assistant director in theatrical performances but also as an assistant costume designer in the field of advertising. She experiments with multiple media and constantly notes ideas for works inside or outside theatrical scenes.
