Frosso Trousa

Ξεκίνησε χορό στην σχολή Χορού Young Place στο Λονδίνο στην ηλικία των 17. Ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στο London Contemporary Dance School με BΑ (hons) και στη συνέχεια εργάστηκε ως χορεύτρια στις ομάδες Dance TheaterRed - Andy Pappas, Yael Flexer Dance Co. και Lyrical  DanceTheatre.  

Εργάστηκε ως καθηγήτρια χορού στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Middlesex και 5 χρόνια στο Young Place. Το 1996 επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα όπου συνεργάστηκε με τις ομάδες χορού Ήρως Άγγελος του χορογράφου Πέτρου Γάλλια, ΑΚΙΝ της Μαρίνας Μαυρογένη και X-Art της Κατερίνας Ανδριοπούλου. Το 2001 συμμετείχε ως βοηθός χορογράφου και χορεύτρια στην θεατρική παράσταση «Penthesilea» σε σκηνοθεσία Peter Stein.Έχει, επίσης διδάξει επί 5 συναπτά έτη στη σχολή χορού της Κατερίνας Ροδίου.

Από το 2002 διευθύνει μαζί με τον Δημήτρη Νασιάκο το στούντιο χορού Dance Cultural Centre. Το 2008 ξεκίνησαν την εταιρεία DAN.C.CE UNITIVA και διοργάνωσαν το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ χορού ARC for DANCE FESTIVAL, η πρώτη πλατφόρμα σύγχρονου χορού με έργα νέων Ελλήνων και ξένων δημιουργών μέχρι σήμερα. Το 2019 διοργάνωσαν το 1ο φεστιβάλ σύγχρονου χορού για νεανικό κοινό το MOVING COLORS. Ακολούθησε το 2ο το Δεκέμβριο του 2021.

Η Φρόσω Τρούσα έχει υπάρξει μέλος του ευρωπαϊκού δικτύου Spider Expand!. Ένα διετές πρόγραμμα καλλιτεχνικής ανταλλαγής και παρουσίασης μεταξύ των χωρών: Βέλγιο, Σλοβενία, Γαλλία, Κροατία, και Ελλάδα.

Ήταν Υπεύθυνη για τον χορό στην κεντρική ομάδα της διοργάνωσης του Διεθνές Δικτύου παραστατικών τεχνών ΙΕΤΜ που πραγματοποιήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 2013. Από το 2014 είναι μέλος του Ευρωπαϊκού δικτύου χορού, AEROWAVES- Dance Across Europe.

Εχει υπάρξει μέλος της ομάδας εργασίας ‘Ανοιχτές Πόρτες’,(μια συνεργασία του ΥΠΠΟΑ και Μεγάρου Μουσικής για την στήριξη σε νέους δημιουργούς για την περίοδο της προετοιμασίας τους και την παρουσίασης της δουλειά τους στο κοινό. Ήταν μέλος της Επιτροπής Επιχορηγήσεων Χορού του ΥΠΠΟΑ για την περίοδο 2017-21.

Τον Απρίλιο του 2022 η DAN.C.CE UNITIVA ήταν η διοργανώτρια εταιρεία σε συνεργασία με την Πολιτιστική Πρωτεύουσα Ελευσίνα 2023 για 10o Spring Forward Festival, το ετήσιο φεστιβάλ του δικτύου AEROWAVES. 

She started studying dance at the Young Place Dance School in London at the age of 17. She completed her studies at London Contemporary Dance School with a BA (hons) and then worked as a dancer with Dance TheaterRed - Andy Pappas, Yael Flexer Dance Co. and Lyrical DanceTheatre.  She worked as a dance teacher at Middlesex University and for 5 years at Young Place. In 1996 she returned to Greece where she worked with the dance companies Eros Angelos by Petros Gallias, AKIN by Marina Mavrogenis and X-Art by Katerina Andriopoulou. In 2001 she participated as assistant choreographer and dancer in the theatre performance "Penthesilea", directed by Peter Stein. She has also taught for 5 years at Katerina Rodiou's dance school.

Since 2002 she has been running the Dance Cultural Centre dance studio (www.dancce.gr) together with Dimitris Nasiakos. In 2008 they started the company DAN.C.CE UNITIVA (https://dancceunitiva.gr) and organized the International Dance Festival ARC for DANCE FESTIVAL (https://arcfordancefestival.gr), the first platform for contemporary dance with works by emerging Greek and foreign artists to date. In 2019 they organized the 1st contemporary dance festival for young audiences MOVING COLORS (https://movingcolorsfest.com). The 2nd one followed in December 2021.

Frosso Trousa has been a member of the European network Spider Expand!, a two-year program of artistic exchange and presentation among the countries: Belgium, Slovenia, France, Croatia, and Greece. She was responsible for the dance sector in the core group of IETM International Performing Arts Network event that was held in Athens in 2013. Since 2014 she is a member of the European dance network, AEROWAVES- Dance Across Europe.

She has been a member of the working group 'Open Doors’, a collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Athens Concert Hal,l for supporting young artists during their preparation period and the presentation of their work to the public. She was a member of the Dance Grants Committee of the Ministry of Culture for 2017-2021.

In April 2022 DAN.C.CE UNITIVA was the organizer, in collaboration with Eleusis 2023 -  European Capital of Culture, for the 10th Spring Forward Festival, the annual festival of the AEROWAVES network.
