The first year of the second cycle of the U(R)TOPIAS Choreography Academy started in December 2023, with the participation of 12 dynamic emerging choreographers. During the year, 4 intensive weeks were held, in which they attended creative workshops by invited mentors from Greece and abroad. 

In addition, each choreographer had a 10-day residency in the city of Elefsina, during which they deepened the research of their work and its connection to the city. The residency was concluded with a presentation of their research, followed by a discussion and creative feedback from the Academy team and the other participants.

At the end of the year, the artists presented their work-in-progress in a small-scale walking performance at the X-Bowling Art Center, open to the public, artists, professionals in the field and guest programmers from festivals abroad.
